We are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Marketing Assistant to support our marketing initiatives for our monthly publication, Logistics Manager Magazine. In this role, you will assist in executing marketing strategies, manage social media activity, and help generate subscribers for both the magazine and newsletter, among other tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, a highly motivated marketing or events graduate, or an individual eager to build a career in the industry. You should have a solid understanding of marketing principles, basic computer skills, and a proactive mindset. A desire to learn through hands-on experience in a deadline-focused environment is essential. This role offers unlimited opportunities for career growth and development in marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Assist with the strategy and execution of social media campaigns to build brand awareness, engage followers, and generate qualified leads.
  • Oversee content creation for social media channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.
  • Engage with prospects, industry influencers, and customers on LinkedIn to build relationships and promote the Logistics Manager brand.
  • Produce graphics, house adverts, web adverts, and other materials for Logistics Manager Magazine.

Email Campaigns & Communication

  • Plan, execute, and analyse email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, product updates, and promotional mailers to engage both existing and potential customers.
  • Regularly audit email campaigns for performance and use insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Identify and engage with highly responsive prospects, nurturing leads through personalized one-on-one communication.

Lead Generation & Sales Support

  • Design and implement effective lead generation strategies to drive sales pipeline growth.
  • Manage the follow-up process with leads, conducting outreach to qualify them and convert them into customers.
  • Track and optimize lead conversion efforts.

Webinars 

  • Promote and assist in the facilitation of sponsored webinars for the publication, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with marketing and editorial goals. Support the planning, promotion, and post-webinar follow-up as required.

Website & Content Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the company’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions.
  • Use User Data Management (UDM) tools to improve website functionality, usability, and content strategy.
  • Work with the content team to ensure the website is SEO-optimized and aligned with the company’s goals.

Audience Growth & Segmentation

  • Develop strategies to expand the Logistics Manager Magazine audience through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Segment the audience for personalized marketing and ensure messaging resonates with different customer personas.
  • Use data and insights to refine audience segmentation strategies.

Customer Feedback & Insights

  • Develop and implement systems for gathering customer feedback (surveys, direct outreach, reviews) to inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Analyse customer feedback and identify areas for improvement in marketing and sales processes.

Sales Enablement & Reporting

  • Regularly follow up with leads and existing customers to understand their concerns and gather feedback on product offerings.
  • Ensure that leads are effectively nurtured and moved through the sales funnel.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership on marketing campaign performance, lead generation efforts, and overall sales impact.

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or a related field.
  • Sound working knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Mailchimp, WordPress, and Apollo is desirable.
  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive marketing materials, while maintaining high standards of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • A data-driven mindset focused on analysing and optimizing campaign performance.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel.
